Daylesford is a small Central Victorian town surrounded by the Wombat State Forest, 110 kilometres from Melbourne. It has a high concentration of mineral springs and therefore spa resorts.

The region offers antiques, art gallery trails, bookshops, local boutiques, botanical gardens, bush walks, canoeing, fishing, golf courses, horse riding, craft and farmers markets, restaurants, cafes, cellar door tastings, spa and massage retreats.

The region’s gold mining history and Swiss Italian heritage is reflected in its architecture and much of its culture.
